Founded in 1913, FIDIC is charged with promoting and implementing the consulting engineering industry’s strategic goals on behalf of its Member Associations and to disseminate information and resources of interest to its members. Uganda-Institution-of-Consulting-EngineersThe Uganda Institution of Professional Engineers (UIPE) was established as an association of Professional Engineers of Uganda in 1972, as a successor to the defunct East Africa Institution of Engineers (EAIE), which had started in 1945. Web: www.uipe.co.ug

Uganda-National-Association-of-Builders,-Civil-Engineers-and-ContractorsUNABCEC – Uganda National Association of Builders, Civil Engineers and Contractors association was re-established in 1993 and with its Secretariat in Kampala. Membership is drawn from both the private and public sector stakeholders including legally registered building and civil engineering companies operating in Uganda, individuals of special merit related to the construction industry and construction related manufacturers and suppliers. Public-Sector-Foundation-of-UgandaPSFU is Uganda’s apex body for the private sector. It is made up of 175 business associations, corporate bodies and the major public sector agencies that support private sector growth. Since its founding in 1995, PSFU has served as a focal point for private sector advocacy as well as capacity building and continues to sustain a positive dialogue with Government on behalf of the private sector. Association-of-Consulting-Engineers-TanzaniaAssociation of Consulting Engineers Tanzania (ACET) Formed in 1985, ACET is an association made up of consulting engineers who operate in Tanzania. Association-of-Consulting-Engineers-of-KenyaThe Association of Consulting Engineers of Kenya (ACEK) was formed in 1968 with the aim of promoting the Advancement of the Professionalism of Consulting Engineers by associating together for consultation and co-operation of those engineers whose work is of a purely consultative character.
